Viswanathan Ganapahy, Section Chair

Viswanathan Ganapahy is a graduate in Science & Engineering and a MBA from Strathclyde University, Glasgow, UK. He is currently employed as Project Quality Manager with Colt Worley Parsons, Edmonton, Alberta. Vis has extensive experience in the planning & implementation of ISO 9001, API Q1, ISO 29001, ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001 certifications. Vis is an IRCA certified QMS 2000 lead auditor and IEMA certified provisional EMS auditor. Vis is also a Philip Crosby Associates trained TQM Facilitator.  Vis holds a NEBOSH, UK certification in occupational health and safety and is a member of APEGGA. He is a senior member of American Society of Quality , a member of American Society of Safety Engineers and also a member of Chartered Quality Institute, UK. Vis is ASQ Edmonton section (0410) Section Management Process (SMP) chair from the year 2006 onwards, responsible for the planning and implementation services and programs that will meet the needs of the current and future members.

Puneet Manchanda, MBA, PMP, Vice Section Chair  

Puneet has held various positions in the Edmonton chapter including Secretary, Membership Chair, Program Chair and Voice of Customer Chair. Puneet currently holds the ASQ-CMQ/OE, RABQSA certified Lead Auditor for ISO 9001 Management Systems and Project Management Professional (PMP) certifications. Puneet also holds a Master of Business Administration degree with specialization in Marketing. Puneet has 23 years of combined professional experience in the area of Power Products, IT and ISO 9001 Quality System. Puneet is currently employed as a Quality Professional with Enbridge Inc.

Lawrence Harnesk, Treasurer

Lead Assessor / Management Systems Administrator with over 25 years of extensive work experience in the areas of Quality Control, Quality Assurance and management systems development, maintenance and assessments.  Experience includes being a Lead Assessor for a third party Registration Agency, acting as a consultant to assist manufacturing firms meet applicable ISO registration requirements and have also performed in a variety of quality roles for a number of manufacturing, mining and petrochemical companies.

Vick Mehta, P.Eng., CQM, CQE, CSSB - Certification Chair

Vick is a graduate in Chemical Engineering & has been a member of APEGGA since 2001. Vick has been serving ASQ Edmonton section executive board since 2002. He obtained ASQ certifications as ?Certified Quality Manager/Organizational Excellence? in 2003, ?Certified Quality Engineer? in 2004 & ?Certified Six Sigma Black Belt? in 2005. He had the opportunity to be the part of the team for ASQ ?Certified Six Sigma Green Belt? exam review in 2006. Vick is also a certified Lead Auditor for ISO 9001, ISO 14001 & OHSAS 18001 management systems. He currently works for Vetco Gray Canada Inc. as Manager QHSE & Six Sigma. Syed Hasnain, CQE, CQA, CSSGB, Program Chair

Syed is a Mechanical Engineer and received a Masters degree in Industrial Engineering from the University of Texas at Arlington. He is currently employed as a Quality & Continuous Improvement Leader at Whitemud Ironworks Group Inc., and has served in Quality Management and Project Management roles in the Oil and Gas, Manufacturing, and Utilities sectors. Syed is an ASQ member since 2006 and holds ASQ certifications such as Certified Quality Engineer (CQE), Certified Quality Auditor (CQA), and Certified Six Sigma Green Belt (CSSGB). In 2011, he attained MBA degree with specialization in Marketing from the University of Windsor.

Doina is a graduate in Civil and Structural Engineering from the Technical University of Civil Engineering Bucharest, and she has extensive experience in civil engineering and related fields, and Quality Management. She is an ASQ member and Certified Quality Auditor with ASQ. She is employed as Project Quality Manager with WorleyParsons Edmonton.

Hemang M. Pandit, P.Eng., PMP, CSSBB, Secretary

Hemang has an University Master's Degree in Metallurgical Engineering and a Professional Engineer registered with APEGGA. He is currently employed as a Project Manager with Alstom Canada Inc. He is a Project Management Professional (PMP) and A registered member with Project Management Institute. Hemang is a Program Chair, a Senior member of ASQ and a Certified Six Sigma Black Belt. Hemang has 15 years of professional experience in the area of Power Generation, Reliability and Condition Assessment, Project Management, Implementation of Six Sigma and Lean Methodology, ISO 9001 Quality System.

Allen Wilson, Nomination & Past Chair

Allan has held the positions of Chair, Vice Chair and Publicity Chair with the ASQ in past years. He has an extensive background in Quality Management and Continuous Improvement in the Oil and Gas, Manufacturing and Pharmaceutical sectors. He is employed as the QMS Lead with Enbridge Pipelines Inc. in Edmonton. He is a Six Sigma Black Belt and ASQ CMQOE and holds degrees in Chemical Engineering and Statistics.

Ademola Usuanlele, B. Eng., CQA, PMP, Audit Chair

Ademola is a PMI member, Senior Member of ASQ and AIChE. He is a highly experienced and articulate Chemical Engineer with 15 years of experience in the oil and gas and pharmaceutical manufacturing industries. He also possesses more than 20 years of experience in providing exceptional client/customer service and sales and technical support. He is a team player with a strong work ethic and excellent communication skills.

Noel relocated to Edmonton from the Philippines and has more than 20 years experience in quality assurance and human resources in food and dairy operations. He has his BS in Chemical Engineering, a Diploma in Industrial Engineering and a MBA. He is a CQA and was a former Trustee of Philippine Society of Quality.

Manjit Sekhon,  Member at Large 

Manjit has a Master's Degree in Industrial Engineering & currently pursuing Master's in Engineering Management at University of Alberta. He is currently employed with WorleyParsons as a Project Quality Manager. He has over 12 years of experience in the areas of developing, implementing, & evaluating the Management System Standards, Plant design & development, Operations Improvement, and Lean Manufacturing Practices.

Hisham Karami is a Food Science and Technology graduate (U of A) as well as Nutritional Sciences graduate (JUST). He is currently employed as a General Manager with Five Sumket Corp., Edmonton, Alberta. Hisham has extensive experience in food safety standards in the retail and food service industry. He worked in planning & implementing HACCP and SQF 2000 standards. He is Certified HACCP Auditor (CHA) as well as a Certified Professional Food Safety (CP-FS) and Certified Food Safety trainer (NEHA). Hisham is an active member in the food industry world; he is currently a National Membership Director with the Canadian Institute of Food Science and Technology (CIFST) and a professional member with Institute of Food Technologist (IFT).
