Colin Strauss is the Head of Regulated Vaccine Manufacturing of the new Vaccine Development Centre at VIDO – the Vaccine and Infectious Disease Organization, located within the University of Saskatchewan.

The mission of this new facility is to assist vaccines invented by Canadian universities in bridging the gap between discovery and commercialization. Colin led facility design, equipment selection, as well as all regulatory interactions with CFIA and Health Canada with the goal of creating a unique facility that was as flexible as possible and capable of producing the widest range of vaccines possible.

Colin holds 4 ASQ designations, and is one of the few individuals in Canada to have earned the ASQ Pharmaceutical GMP Professional designation (ASQ CPGP).

Join us Wednesday May 22nd, as Colin shares with us a high-level overview of the new capabilities at the University of Saskatchewan and how Western Canada is playing an important role in enabling the vaccines of the future.
